WeatherBest existed in a pretty typical market. At face value, its hard to tell one product from the next. In the world of decking, we saw beauty shot after beauty shot of wonderful back yards with the kind of deck that would make anybody jealous. If you’ve ever seen a composite deck, you know that it looks nice until you get close. Not the case with WeatherBest decking. Close up, you’d swear their teak was real teak. The difference? This will last forever, is made of recycled, green products and requires far less maintenance.
While at Pop Art, I Art Directed a new site for them. The primary strategy was to kill most of the hero shots of decks and get as close in as possible to show the beautiful grain of the decking. Even the background of the entire site is filled with its rich colors and detailed grains. With a time lapse-style animation, we illustrated wear and maintenance over 10 years.
