DC Trip

I flew out to DC on Monday for a Tuesday interview at the Washington Post. Flew a lot, stayed in a wonderful hotel, met some really brilliant people and missed the fams like crazy. I feel super fortunate just to have gotten to see the inside of an operation like the Post. Unfortunately I didn’t snap any photos inside.

Flying Through Phoenix

I always love shooting photos from the plane. All the abstract circles, people moving in droves, clouds and in this case… Maybe the Grand Canyon?

Waiting for the Plane to DC to Get Fixed

Our plan was coming in an hour late from San Diego. Unfortunately it then had mechanical errors when it arrived, so we had to wait another 3 hours. Super glad they fixed it though!

Leg Room

This is seriously the most leg room I’ve ever had. US AIR FTW!

And I’m Off

Definitely worth having the room over the view.

Big Pimpin Suite!

Massage chaire. That is all.

The 7 Principles of the Washington Post

This is all about news being a public good and telling the truth even if it hurts the business.

Getting Ready for the Ride Back to PDX

Colin Powell was in First Class on this flight.

Running to My Gate

The hallway between concourses B and C in Chicago O’Hare. Soothing lights. New age music. Soilent Green.

Thanks!

Though I arrived home ready to pass out, I had a serious blast on this trip. If I have the chance to go back, I need to hop on the Metro and visit Baltimore. Thanks to Justin Ferrell and Katie Parker for inviting me!
