Spotify’s Big Green Bus

When Spotify began planning a large scale campaign to take their platform into the realworld with a “big green bus” they came to The Brigade to develop the most awesome interactive music experience to bring the bus to life. In partnership with Filter Mag, Spotify and Galpin Auto lead by Mad Mike we pimped their ride like never before. The tour kicks off this week where users can add songs to a giant boombox on the side of the bus from their smartphone, interact with Spotify on custom iPad Kiosks and share along the way on Facebook with a dedicated app and social campaign. We’ll be sharing more as the tour progresses but here’s a sneak peek at the 3 major components powering this experience.

Giant Interactive Boombox

Users connect to the Bus Wi-Fi & are directed to a web app that allows them to search the Spotify library and add songs to a giant boombox on the side o the bus in realtime then share on Facebook. Each time they get a like their song gets voted up. Each like shares the Spotify on Tour story.

Interactive iPad Kiosks

Once users are on the bus they can earn Spotify swag by answering “Song Questions” on branded iPad retina kiosks like “What’s your Favorite Roadtrip Song”. All these playlists feed into the Facebook App where users at home can listen and share.

Spotify on Tour Facebook App & Social Campaign

To maximize reach everything is fully integrated into facebook with a dedicated App featuring realtime feeds of playlists and instargam photos along with artists playlists and videos. Each share from the boombox and kiosks create a stories linked to the app driving discovery and engagement with the Spotify brand. Users at home can find out where the bus will be next and dig into the tour journal to see everything that happened at each stop.
